As the Principal of the Prestigious, it is my privilege to meet you all through this digital platform.
The academic fraternity of Government Arts and Science College, R.K.Nagar, envisions to widen the reach of higher education to the students from the deprived socio-economic sections of our society. We aspire to be an institution of excellence transforming lives through education and empowering our learners with varied needs to realize their goals.
It is beyond doubt that the quality education is the key to better future. Our teaching approach strives to instill into the students, the thought to grow morally, embracing the ethics of our society. It has always been my view that education is not just memorizing the fact but training the minds to think and act. This thought is also reverberated in the words of one of the important twentieth century poets W.B. Yeats, “Education is not the filling of the pail but lighting of fire”.
We envisage producing pioneers who are intellectually equipped with well-defined knowledge and life skills to become the innovative thinkers and contributing citizens. We also emphasize values such as mutual respect, hope, compassion, co-operation, resilience and gratitude to be the objectives of education.
