ABOUT
Department of Commerce B.Com (General) English medium was started in the year 2015 by Department of Higher Education, Government of Tamil Nadu to equip the students with the required skills and knowledge in the field of commerce education. This Programme aims to provide qualitative exposure in financial stream and helps the students to become professionals in their field. It is designed to meet emerging industry and institutional requirements to the students in the area of business, Income tax law and practice and Human resources management. In 2018 B.com (general) Tamil medium was started for encouraging the students to learn Commerce education in Tamil medium. In 2018, the Post graduation programme (M.Com) was introduced with the aim of moulding Commerce students and enhance their skills in par with the industry and institutional requirements. This Programme offers specialised skills in developing Research methodology based project work with viva-voce examination. At present, the department is also expecting advanced studies and research programme in M.Phil and Ph.D. Every year, we are producing potential university rank holder.
